Statement

As an artist I want to express myself, my emotions, and my experiences while simultaneously allowing viewers to create stories using my work as a starting point. I have always been inspired by abstract work that leaves much open to the viewer’s imagination. The style I currently work in came to be around 2019 and continues to evolve. Emotions are paramount in these pieces, along with a sense of movement – the movement paired with deep feelings tell stories about the complexity of being human. From a young age it was clear to me that being emotional was not always welcome. My existence (as opposed to others’) is at the core of what I make. My work attempts to capture parts of emotions, allow me to wrestle with them and deeply feel them while I express them in a visual way. Technology plays an enormous role in my process and I make use of as few as one to as many as five applications to create a single piece.
